Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our East Region power generation team in a development role. You will work on a range of projects to address critical infrastructure challenges and gain exposure to design guides, standards, and client needs.

As an entry-level engineer, you will contribute to basic calculations, reports, and studies while learning from seasoned professionals in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program; onboarding requirements may apply (criminal/civil background checks, drug screen, MVR)
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after 90 days, subject to manager discretion

Responsibilities

• Develops familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, and codes
• Contributes to preparation of less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope
• Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts
• Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles
• Coordinates with others when directed by supervisor or project leadership
• Focuses on internal client needs while understanding external drivers
• Shares knowledge of latest technology and processes
