Job summary

The ASR Group Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a two-year structured learning and development program for entry-level engineers in Chemical, Mechanical, Controls, Industrial or Electrical disciplines. You will gain hands-on experience and mentorship from leaders and SMEs while beginning a career in manufacturing.

We seek motivated B.S./M.S. graduates in Chemical Engineering with 0–2 years of experience, a strong academic record, demonstrated leadership, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college/university.
• 0-2 years of professional work experience (including internships and co-ops).
• Validated leadership experience through extra-curricular activities, employment and/or internship experiences is required.
• Strong academic record (3.0 GPA or better).

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-discipline proficiency during the program (chemical, mechanical, controls, industrial or electrical).
• Review technical reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly Energy/Water).
• Perform basic lab tests with supervision and prepare daily technical report.
• Produce SIPOC diagrams for department operations and locations.
• Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement projects.

OVERVIEW

The Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a two (2) year structured learning and development program for select new graduates who are hired into the ASR Group Engineering team.

We are looking for entry-level engineers in the following discipline: Chemical

GENERAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop multi-discipline (chemical, mechanical, controls, industrial or electrical) proficiency during the program
• Review technical reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly Energy/Water)
• Perform basic lab tests with supervision of lab manager, prepare daily technical report with supervision
• Produce SIPOC diagram for the department’s operations, key physical locations
• Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement projects
• General electrical troubleshooting & equipment (starters, VFD, soft starts & breakers)
• Perform operational & cost studies
• Perform tasks as an area supervisor
• Time Management: Having the ability to manage and monitor a large number of projects to completion.
• Critical thinking and problem solving: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Communication: The ability to effectively and clearly communicate information and ideas.
• Self-starter: Have a strong sense of urgency and is deadline-oriented. The ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
• Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills, and oral/written communication skills.
• Interest in pursuing a career path as a leader in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to write clearly and accurately.

ESSENTIALEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

SALARY RANGES

• $70,500.00 to $117,500.00 USD
