Who are we looking for?

At GHD we are looking for a new Graduate Designer / Associate Project Manager to join the Architecture Design Studio team at our San Francisco, Tustin, Anchorage or Guam offices. This role is focused on offering hands‑on exposure to project management and the opportunity to build core planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Design: Contribute to the planning, design, construction, testing, communication, evaluation, and implementation of architectural solutions.
• Engineering Drawings: Create engineering drawings under the guidance of senior colleagues for the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
• Engineering Solutions Design: Support the development and feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions to validate designs.
• Building Information Modeling (BIM) System: Design layouts and maps that reflect building scope and parameters for construction activities.
• Construction Advice: Provide professional advice on construction regulations, best practices, and building maintenance.
• Building Surveys: Conduct building and technical surveys, with guidance from experienced surveyors, to assess building condition, identify defects, and assess risks.
• Personal Capability Building: Participate in assessment, development planning, formal and informal training, coaching, and ongoing education.
• Feasibility Studies: Contribute to and support feasibility studies from technological and organizational perspectives, documenting findings.
• Bid Solicitation / RFP / Tender Analysis: Analyze bid solicitation requirements, assess feasibility, and gather relevant information.
• Client & Customer Management (External): Assist senior colleagues in managing client and customer relationships using relevant systems.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level in Architecture or related field.
• Experience: 0–2 years in a related field.

Salary Range: $65,000 to $70,000 based on experience and location.
