Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Data Scientist Graduate (Multimedia) for a 2027 start in San Jose. You will join the Multimedia Data Scientist team to build data-driven solutions, optimize publishing experiences, and collaborate across teams to improve content creation journeys.

Qualifications

Master's degree in data science or a related field.
Experience analyzing mobile apps and optimizing user experience.
Experience with creation-oriented user behavior.
Proficient in SQL and Python; experience with Hive or Spark.
Strong background in A/B testing, metric design, and causal inference.

Responsibilities

Develop the experience metric system and the monitoring capability across creation stages.
Conduct experimentation, define launch standards and iterate on experiments.
Quantify impact of creation tool performance on publish rate, retention and engagement.
Use data mining to understand user needs and build models for personalized publishing.
Collaborate with partners to land solutions for evolving products.
Build systemic problem solving and research cutting-edge methodologies.
