Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. invites applications for a Graduate Engineer, Site Design. You will support a licensed Civil Engineer and learn our standard practices while gaining proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and local codes.

Ideal candidates are organized, self-motivated and collaborative, with strong communication and detail orientation as you contribute to design drawings, entitlements, and construction documents under supervision.

Qualifications

• Prepare exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Coordinate with agency staff and internal teams on designs and issues.
• Preparation of entitlement documents in support of Tentative Maps, Vacations, Zone Changes, Entitlements, etc.
• Calculation of quantities using Microsoft Excel and justification letters using Microsoft Word.
• Assist with construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D including grading plans; plan and profiles; construction details; storm drain, water and sewer facilities; signage and striping plans

Responsibilities

• Support a licensed Civil Engineer and learn company practices.
• Develop proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Collaborate with agencies and internal teams on designs.
• Assist with entitlements and construction drawings.
• Ensure designs meet local agency codes and budgets
