Job summary

North Greenville University in Tigerville, SC seeks a Graduate Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in planning practices, preparing for games, and fostering a positive environment for student-athletes.

You will assist in practice planning, game strategies, and in-game instruction, while helping recruit and retain talent and monitor academic progress. The role requires traveling up to 25% and a commitment to NGU’s Christian mission.

• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and conducting practice sessions.
• Support development and implementation of game and competition strategies.
• Provide instruction during practice time and help with warmups, including infield/outfield and front toss.
• Help ensure safety and well-being of all team members.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive team culture.
• Assist in recruitment and retention of student-athletes.
• Participate in team events, fundraisers, and community engagement.
• Monitor academic progress and help student-athletes balance academics and athletics.
