Job Title: Graduate Assistant - Women's Volleyball

Department: Athletics

Reports To: Head Volleyball Coach

Job Type: Part-time, exempt position.

General Description

The duties of the Graduate Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach include assisting the Head Volleyball Coach in all aspects of the volleyball program's operations, including but not limited to the responsibilities listed below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in player development and training.
• Demonstrate an understanding of volleyball and communicate effectively about the game.
• Properly demonstrate skills during training sessions and drills.
• Run training sessions under the guidance of the Head Coach.
• Translate instructions from the Head Coach during training.
• Support during all training sessions and follow directions.
• Publicly support all decisions and the vision of the Head Coach.
• Maintain appropriate discipline as defined by the Head Coach.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Administrative Duties

• Maintain consistent office hours as agreed.
• Accurately track game and training statistics.
• Assist with equipment management and video recording of games.
• Conduct video review sessions with players.
• Coordinate transportation and accommodations for games.
• Assist with summer camp activities and promotions.
• Participate in community service and fundraising activities.
• Supervise Study Tables and extra study sessions.

Physical Demands

• Climb stairs, move freely on campus, and perform physical activities as needed.
• Work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
• Speak, read, and hear fluently in English.
• Use a computer and phone effectively.

Work Schedule

Approximately 25 hours per week, with more during the volleyball season and less in the off-season. Summer work is optional.

Compensation

Tuition remission for master's programs, on-campus housing (if available), and meal plan during dining hall hours.
