Graduate Assistant – Women’s Basketball

Augustana University invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant – Women’s Basketball. This role offers on-the-job learning experiences for recent college graduates interested in intercollegiate athletics careers. Reporting to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the position supports daily operations and game day preparations, with opportunities to gain coaching experience. This position covers 50% tuition support in qualifying academic programs plus an hourly wage. Additional duties may be assigned as related or similar to the listed responsibilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist the Head Coach with daily team operations.
• Coordinate athlete activities such as recruiting, conditioning, and academics.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA and conference bylaws.
• Follow the Athletic Department Manual guidelines on conduct.
• Manage social media platforms within brand standards.
• Organize promotional events and tournaments.
• Support on-field training, scouting, recruiting, and visit coordination.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least one year of experience in a college women’s basketball program.
• Proficiency in Google Suite.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated, diplomatic, and discreet.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
• Strict adherence to NCAA, conference, and university rules.
