    Position Summary
    The physical therapy program at Gannon University is committed to excellence in student-centered learning, with an emphasis on student-learning outcomes. Our graduate assistants play an important role in achieving these outcomes, working collaboratively with program faculty and colleagues as they assist in program operations, grading, and tutoring as requested by the faculty. Graduate assistants must maintain student confidentiality, display initiative, and be flexible with work requirements. This position is open for students entering the second year of the DPT program.
    1. Maintain regular communication with parents and therapists to schedule infant/toddler labs for second year students
    2. Solicit and communicate regularly with community volunteers for the second-year neurological rehabilitation course
    3. Assist in grading ICEP reflection, webinar review, and stages of wellness assignments
    4. Assist in grading health literacy assignment and capstone paper
    5. Maintain up-to-date information in the Blackboard student resource folder for the Community Health Initiatives course sequence
    6. Compile reports of each student’s community service hours log
    7. Assist in the development and implementation of after school programs at both John Horan and JFK centers
    8. Assist faculty with administrative tasks and grading as assigned
    Required Qualifications
    Successful completion of the first semester of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, and showing a strong progression through the second semester at the time of application.
    Preferred Qualifications
    No instances of academic or professional behavior probation.

    Must be able to meet the physical demands associated with a busy academic environment.
