Job Summary

As a Graduate Assistant for University Advancement, you will play a key role in supporting UWG’s annual giving strategy through a digital-first fundraising approach. This position focuses on executing multi-channel donor outreach campaigns, leveraging video, email, and data-driven engagement strategies to drive participation and philanthropic support.

In this role, you will:

• Manage and execute digital fundraising campaigns - 50%
  Support the planning, setup, and deployment of digital solicitation campaigns using digital platforms, including personalized video outreach, email follow-ups, and targeted messaging.
• -Segment and prepare donor audiences - 15%
  Assist with audience segmentation, data preparation, and list management to ensure the right messages reach the right constituents at the right time.
• Create and coordinate digital content - 15%
  Collaborate with student assistants to produce personalized video messages, stewardship content, and campaign assets tailored to donors, non-donors, and key initiatives.
• Monitor performance and optimize engagement - 5%
  Track and analyze campaign performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions; make recommendations for improving outreach effectiveness through testing and iteration.
• Provide supplemental outreach support - 10%
  Conduct limited targeted phone outreach and follow-up communications to reinforce digital campaigns and engage key constituents when appropriate.
• Serve as a representative of University Advancement - 5%
  Act as a student ambassador by communicating the impact of philanthropy at UWG and helping to build meaningful connections with alumni, donors, and friends of the university.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for a graduate assistantship at the University of West Georgia (UWG), students must meet the following criteria:

• Be fully admitted to a graduate degree program at UWG. Please note: Students admitted provisionally are not eligible for assistantship positions
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Be enrolled full-time in a UWG graduate program during the assistantship period.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all previous and current graduate coursework and remain in good academic standing.
• Meet eligibility requirements for employment in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with digital communications tools, social media strategy, and content creation
• Strong written communication skills for donor-facing messaging
• Familiarity with fundraising or higher education advancement
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data segmentation and reporting
• Comfort with video content creation
• Experience in outreach or customer service
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Proposed Salary

• A monthly stipend of $1,000.00 per month
• A tuition waiver, reducing the semester rate to $25 plus mandatory fees while employed in the assistantship
