POSITION SUMMARY
Graduate Assistant - Immersive are student workers who contribute to the mission of Southeastern University while pursuing their graduate studies. This position will work specifically for the following departments: Student Development, Athletics or Admissions departments and may be asked to work outside of normal business hours. These GAs assist the department supervisors with administrative, event or project‑related tasks, as assigned. GA positions are established on a term‑to‑term basis and are not guaranteed for the entire academic year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
ADDITIONAL/NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Availability to work up to29 hours per week, with flexibility around academic commitments. Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, JICS, MyFire, statistical software, and/or learning management systems, specific to the position.
All remaining duties are considered "nonessential" within the context of the ADA, which means that the function could be reassigned to another employee in order to allow a disabled individual to hold the position. Alternatively, the manager could try to provide a reasonable accommodation so that the disabled individual could perform the function.

Required:

All new hires and employees transferring into a new position will have a 90‑day probationary period within which to learn the functions of the job and to be evaluated. Following the probationary period, the employee can transition to regular status, have the probationary period extended in order to receive more training, or employment can be terminated. Employees required to drive their own personal vehicle, a rental car or an SEU vehicle in performance of their duties must pass an MVR records check and meet the requirements of the University’s insurance carrier in order to meet the requirements of the position.
