Job summary

UW-Parkside invites applications for graduate assistant coaching positions for the 2026-27 academic year. A 10-month appointment includes a full tuition waiver and a $9,000 annual stipend, paid monthly. Start date is August 1, with potential earlier start and summer employment.

Appointments require MSSM program admission and ongoing good standing. The coaching GAs will also serve as instructors for an HKSM activity class and collaborate with athletics staff and campus groups.

Qualifications

• Experience as a student-athlete, manager, or coach in college athletics, high school, or professional sports.
• Experience in recruiting, scouting, and player development.
• Ability to handle administrative tasks of a sports program and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute practices.
• Develop players and monitor progress.
• Scout opponents and conduct film breakdown.
• Recruit student-athletes for the program.
• Support travel and operational logistics for competitions.
• Organize camps and clinics.
• Monitor student-athletes' academic progress.
• Represent the athletics department in campus and community activities.

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is proud to offer the graduate assistant coaching positions for the 2026-27 academic year. These graduate assistants will gain valuable experience in Wisconsin’s NCAA Division II athletics department.The successful candidates will work a 10-month appointment for the 2026-27 academic year with the opportunity for renewal of a second year 12-month appointment. Each graduate assistant will receive a full tuition waiver and an annual stipend of $9,000, paid monthly. These positions will remain open until filled. Anticipated start date for the positions will be August 1, with the potential for a mutually-agreed upon earlier start date and summer employment.The coaching graduate assistants will also serve as an instructor for an activity class for the Health, Kinesiology, and Sport Management department (HKSM). To be eligible, students must be admitted to the in-person Master of Sport Management Program (MSSM) at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Appointments are contingent upon maintenance of minimum credit requirements and good standing in the MSSM program. of woodland and prairie and two miles west of Lake Michigan in Kenosha, WI.
