Come join Mercer University’s Graduate Admissions team in the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business! Our group of admissions professionals are dedicated to serving applicants and admitted students alike with pride and purpose. This position is a great way to utilize and sharpen a variety of professional skills while learning more about higher education admissions and recruitment.
Position Description:
The graduate assistant will assist with daily applicant outreach and interaction, campus recruiting efforts, facilitating collaboration with Mercer student organizations, event promotion and coordination, record keeping, email content, data analysis, and representing Enrollment Management and the School of Business at local community events. This role interacts with prospective and active applicants, students, faculty, staff, alumni, employers, and various community organizations. High attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.
· Responsibilities include:
· Maintain strict confidentiality
· Assist with presenting admissions information to classes, clubs and organizations
· Assist with daily maintenance of applicant and student communication and inquiries
· Participate in meetings and training sessions
· Be given the opportunity to complete a specialized project based on your personalized interests and professional goals
· Required:
· Admitted or pursuing full-time Business Master’s Degree Program at Mercer
· Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic team environment
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· A passion for organization and problem solving
· Must demonstrate close attention to details
