Job description

Franklin University has a position available for a full-time Graduate Admissions Advisor. This individual will be responsible for the recruitment and evaluation of prospective students for Franklin University’s graduate (both master’s and doctoral) programs through our selective admissions process. The position is responsible for engaging in timely, high quality, proactive outreach to educate graduate inquiries and applicants on Franklin’s graduate admissions processes, ensuring a high-quality prospective graduate student experience and facilitating a thorough understanding of all requirements and timelines. The position involves significant outreach through telephone, email, and text. The selected individual will maintain strong working relationships with other units throughout the University, including the offices of Financial Aid, Marketing, the Registrar, Graduate Student Affairs, and others.

The hybrid schedule includes working on our downtown campus in Columbus, Ohio on Mondays or Tuesdays plus Wednesdays with the remaining days of the week being worked from home. Work hours include one late night per week (10 a.m.-7:00 p.m.), one 9:00 a.m.-6 p.m. day with the remainder of the week allowing for flexible hours between 7:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Other evening work may be required to facilitate special events.

A master’s degree is required. The selected individual should be a strong communicator with excellent telephone skills supplemented by effective written communication skills. The candidate should also have a strong track record of goal achievement and student satisfaction and the ability to serve as a team player within the entire department. We seek someone with strong organization, prioritization, detail-orientation, time management and follow-through skills that is comfortable delivering and receiving constructive/critical feedback. Prior graduate student recruitment and/or admissions experience is strongly preferred. Experience with a CRM tool and prior project management experience is desired.
