Job Summary:

The Graduate Admission Counselor is responsible for recruiting and communicating with prospective graduate students, guiding them through the application process. The role involves developing recruitment strategies to increase enrollment.

Essential Functions:

1. Develop descriptions of program opportunities and coordinate recruitment events.
2. Gather and record feedback from events for assessment.
3. Attend college fairs and host information sessions.
4. Implement recruitment strategies to meet enrollment goals.
5. Communicate with applicants about their application status and respond proactively to inquiries.
6. Analyze data to evaluate communication effectiveness.
7. Support recruitment events, including evenings and weekends.
8. Assist with promotional materials, social media, and communication efforts.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Competencies:

Willingness to travel, work evenings and weekends, and manage multiple tasks. Strong communication skills, high energy, ability to work independently and in teams.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Previous admission experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Discretion handling confidential information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Technolutions Slate, Ellucian Banner preferred.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.

Work Environment:

Professional office setting with standard equipment.

Physical Demands:

Occasional standing, moving, sitting, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Position Details:

Full-time, Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend hours for events. Travel may be domestic and international, including overnight stays.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Prior admission experience preferred.

Additional Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license required.

Salary range: $64,350 annually, based on experience and qualifications. The position is eligible for relocation and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
