Job summary

Granite Construction is hiring a Motor Grader Operator for multiple Texas locations, including Abilene. You will operate a motor grader with a fine blade to level subgrades for road construction, using GPS guidance and various attachments.

On-the-job training is provided, and you will read plans, conduct inspections, and follow safety standards. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, proper certification, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• GPS experience is a plus.
• Experience with motor graders and grading operations preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor grader safely and efficiently per company standards.
• Align machine, blade, and depth gauge with reference stakes.
• Attach different blades or attachments to equipment.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance (grease/oil).
• Read and interpret plans and specifications for grading tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
