Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a supervisor to oversee crews performing excavating and grading for highways, streets, and drainage projects across WA, OR, and ID. The role is union-represented with hourly wages set by the union agreement.

You will direct field crews, ensure safety, and verify graded surfaces, while coordinating activities across machines and personnel to meet project specifications.

Qualifications

• Reads engineering drawings and verifies distances/curves.
• Maintains safety standards in dusty or dirty environments.
• Directs crews and coordinates operation of vehicles and machinery.
• May supervise paving and culvert installation activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate workers in excavating and grading on highway projects.
• Direct crews operating vehicles and machines to dump, scrape, and spread dirt.
• Verify curvature of graded surfaces using hand level and maintain quality.
• May supervise culvert laying, drainage tile, and piping teams as assigned.
