The ideal candidate has 5+ years in roadway/site construction, knowledge of grading equipment, and fluent English with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in roadway and site construction.
• Knowledge of traffic control standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate grading equipment such as dozers, excavators, motor graders, scrapers and rollers.
• Travel in short intervals may be required.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Must possess a valid, current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises grading operation phases safely and productively.
• Read and interpret plans.
• Set and check grade.
• Maintain excellent communication with team.
• Enforce environmental, health and safety regulations and policies.
• Safely operate equipment and keep it in good condition.
• Plan, organize and coordinate daily activities and assignments.
• Analyze equipment and trucking requirements for the job.
• Maintain daily project records and key events.
• Identify potential problems before breakdowns occur.
• Instruct and train workers on safety and procedures.
• Accurately track and report daily hours for crew and equipment.
