We are looking for a Grading Foreman to join our team and grow with the company.

Primarily located in Sacramento region of California. Possible travel to jobs in other areas of California.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Oversee all on-site grading and earthwork activities
• Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, motor graders, excavators, loaders, scrapers and compactors
• Ability to grade stakes and grade set
• Knowledge of grading, excavation, cut and fill, compaction, drainage and site preparation
• Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications and soil reports
• Knowledge of safety regulations and protocol. Enforce OSHA safety standards and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols on-site
• Strong leadership skills with ability to manage and motivate a crew while providing a safe and productive work environment
• Time management skills with ability to manage job deadlines as well as employees’ hours
• Organization skills to schedule and manage daily activities
• Ability to stand for long period of time, walk on uneven terrain, climb on/off equipment, lift as well
• Maintain equipment daily, such as greasing etc
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Ability to effectively communicate. Be able to coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, local officials, and employees
• Ability and knowledge of DIR jobs and paperwork
