Job summary

Jobtailor in Madison, WI is seeking an experienced excavator/loader operator to shape and grade surfaces for utility and road projects.

You will work with laborers and foremen, maintain jobsite safety and cleanliness, organize materials, and assist in equipment maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• A Class A CDL is desired but not necessary prior to hire
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• 3+ years experience in site preparation/grading
• Must be able to operate loader and excavator
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Able to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, weekends, as needed
• Able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions and dirty and dusty environments
• Member of a Local Operators Union, or willingness to become a union member, required; union membership may not be required prior to employment
• Ability to clean, maintain, and assist in repairing equipment

Job description

• Operate an excavator with grading experience to shape and level surfaces for utility projects, road projects, and related work
