Job summary

Covenant Constructors LLC in Brentwood, TN is seeking a dedicated Grading and Utility Laborer to support grading, excavation, and utility installation on our construction projects. You will work under supervision operating heavy equipment, assist with pipelines, dig, trench, and load materials, all while upholding safety standards.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; prior construction experience is optional.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of construction tools and equipment.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and take direction.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Valid driver’s license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in grading and excavation activities, including operating heavy equipment under supervision.
• Help install and maintain utility systems such as water, sewer, and drainage pipelines.
• Perform manual labor tasks, including digging, trenching, and backfilling.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at the job site.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient project completion.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively within the team.
