Job summary

San Francisco Waldorf School seeks enthusiastic Grade School Substitute Teachers for Early Childhood and/or Grades 1–8. Candidates should be adaptable, nurturing, and capable of maintaining classroom flow in alignment with Waldorf education values. Prior Waldorf experience and university degrees are encouraged.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Grade School Substitute Teachers (for Early Childhood and/or Grades 1st - 8th Grade) who are passionate about education. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, nurturing, and capable of maintaining the classroom's flow while adhering to the values and philosophy of Waldorf education.

Compensation

Compensation is $55 per hour or $250 for a full day. This is a part-time, as needed, temporary/short-term, non-exempt position. It carries no benefits other than those available through San Francisco City. This position does not continue during the summer break months.

School breaks and Holidays are unpaid.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Be able to occasionally lift to 30 lbs.
• Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including heat and cold
• Regularly sitting or standing 4-8 hours
