Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Foreman in heavy civil site development.
• Experience with mass earth moving and finish grading.
• Knowledge of trench safety and OSHA standards.
• Proficient in grade checking and layout reading blueprints.
• Ability to use a computer for daily reporting and time entry.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote the Company’s Safety Culture in all field operations.
• Develop a plan for the phase of work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, utility profiles, and project specifications.
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities for assigned phase of work.
• Identify project risks and communicate issues or opportunities.
• Ensure proper layout, grade checking, and elevation control using levels, lasers, and GPS.
• Stage materials, equipment, and manpower for efficient workflow.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
• Submit accurate daily reports and complete crew timecard review.
• Communicate project status to Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Train and develop crew members and create opportunities for skill growth.

C.A. Murren is seeking an experienced Grading Foreman specializing in mass earth moving for heavy civil site development projects throughout the southeastern United States.

This role is responsible for leading field crews, executing work safely and efficiently, and ensuring projects meet safety, quality, production, and scheduling goals. The Grade Foreman serves as the front-line supervisor and plays a critical role in planning daily operations, coordinating resources, and maintaining our strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and promote the Company’s Safety Culture in all field operations
• Responsible for developing a plan for the phase of work
• Read and interpret blueprints, utility profiles, and project specifications
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities for assigned phase of work
• Identify project risks and proactively communicate issues or opportunities
• Ensure proper layout, grade checking, and elevation control using levels, lasers, and GPS
• Stage materials, equipment, and manpower for efficient workflow
• Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance
• Submit accurate daily reports and complete crew timecard review
• Communicate project status clearly and timely to Project Managers and Superintendents
• Train and develop crew members and create opportunities for skill growth and advancement

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Foreman in heavy civil site development
• Proven experience with mass earth moving and finish grading
• Strong knowledge of trench safety, OSHA standards, and utility installation best practices
• Proficient in grade checking, layout, and blueprint reading
• Ability to utilize a computer for daily reporting, emails, and time entry
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Requirements

• Must have valid driver's license
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must participate in a pre-employment and random drug screening program.
