Caton Construction Group is growing! Currently seeking a Grade Foreman for our roadway construction project in Halifax County, Virginia.
The Grade Foreman is a field position that is responsible to organize and lead a crew to safely and efficiently perform mass earthwork and excavating activities, balancing highway and road construction/reconstruction. The Foreperson works under the general direction of the Superintendent.
This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with time provided for lunch, hours may vary. Work may be local or out of town in which case overnight stays are required. This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work.
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Driver's license is required.
Assigning work to subordinates, as well as establishing deadlines and modifying work schedules to meet deadlines as needed
Employment is conditional on satisfactorily completing all pre-employment requirements including background and drug screen. Starting wages depend skills and experience.
