Under the direction of the school principal, plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students. Create an environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students to ensure success. Supervise students in various school settings, monitor and evaluate student outcomes, communicate with students, parents, staff, and community. Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet all students’ needs. Maintain records, follow procedures, and ensure proper use and care of equipment and facilities.
Knowledge of VBCPS curriculum, instructional techniques, and policies; understanding of teaching and learning processes; ability to incorporate technology; effective communication skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
Required: Bachelor's Degree in education and eligibility for Virginia teaching license.
Must have sensory skills for communication, able to sit, walk, stand, bend, lift up to 20 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds rarely. Reasonable accommodations available.
Valid driver’s license and reliable attendance are essential.
