VACANCY: The Valley View Public School District is seeking a full-time Grade 5 teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

JOB SUMMARY: The teacher will be responsible to the Building Principal for planning instructional lessons tailored to students' needs, interests, and abilities; creating a conducive classroom environment; and employing effective instructional techniques.

Qualifications:

• Valid State of Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License
• Successful teaching experience (preferred)
• Skill in diagnosing, assessing, and record keeping of student learning
• Effective behavior management skills
• Ability to structure a classroom to maximize learning
• Effective communication skills with stakeholders
