Capital School District is seeking an Elementary Teacher for 2026-2027 in the English Partner Spanish Immersion program for Grade 4 at South Dover Elementary School. The teacher collaborates with a Spanish immersion partner to deliver Reading, Writing, and Social Studies in a bilingual setting.

The role requires valid Delaware K-6 Elementary teaching licensure, prior teaching experience, and the ability to work 10 months with duties including parent conferences and district trainings.

Qualifications

• Current DE teaching licenses - Elementary (K-6).
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with Spanish partner teacher.
• Adapt lesson plans for second language learners.
• Accommodate visitors to the classroom.
• Meet with parents from both classes for conferences and workshops.
• Establish and maintain open communication with students, parents, staff and administration.
• Be available to students and parents outside the instructional day as per contract obligations.
• Assume other duties as assigned.
