Job description

Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic School is a PK3 – Grade 8 Catholic school located in Apex, NC. We are currently acceptingresumes for a full-timeGrade 4 elementary teacher. Candidates should present passionate dispositions towards teaching and Catholic formation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform professional responsibilities of a teacher, including but not limited to planning lessons and preparing instructional materials based upon the identified Diocese of Raleigh curriculum standards , attending meetings and school functions, serving on faculty committees, communicating with parents and administration, and maintaining positive relationships with peers, students, parents, and Administration.
  • Accept the mission of the school as articulated at the Diocesan, school, and parish levels
  • Implement the educational mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the school
  • Plan, prepare, teach, and interact with students so as to challenge students to maximize their individual potential
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to form successful partnerships with colleagues, students, parents, and Administration
  • Minimum level of Education: Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
  • Minimum of years related work experience.
  • Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
  • Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hold a NC Licensure in Education or equivalent from another state.
