Job summary

The Charter School for Applied Technologies seeks a Special Education Teacher (Long-term Substitute, Grade 3) for the 2026-27 school year at CSAT. The role is per diem with a long-term substitute appointment and a daily wage of $200.

The teacher will implement curriculum, differentiate instruction, and work collaboratively with a team while integrating technology and maintaining classroom management. Start date ASAP.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Bachelors in Education degree program and have completed all required student teaching experiences
• Must have two years of classroom experience with a satisfactory rating
• Three positive recommendations from professional individuals
• Strong background in classroom instruction and pedagogical skills
• Highly organized and independent worker with excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
• PLC model experience (Professional Learning Communities)
• Superior skills to work with others and the ability of being a team player

Responsibilities

• Differentiate instruction to accommodate the needs of the student populations
• Establish, nurture, and manage student-directed classrooms
• Develop and use rubrics for instruction and assessment
• Use technology tools for instruction, planning, and communication
• Learn new uses and applications of technology tools
• Write, implement, and evaluate professional development plans
• Develop family-school relationships that foster the academic and social development of the child
