Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking an Elementary School Teaching/Music - Vocal for after-school choral instruction for grades 3–6. Responsibilities include leading one weekly choir session and coordinating rehearsal schedules across elementary buildings.

The successful candidate will have a Minnesota K-12 music license (vocal/classroom) or be pursuing one, with demonstrated experience working with elementary-age children in a choral setting, and strong piano skills to assist learners.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated successful experience working with elementary age children in a choral setting.
• Knowledge of children's voices and strategies for working with boys and girls in a choral program.
• Evidence of sufficient piano skills to help singers learn their parts.
• Demonstrated success in developing a rapport with young students and their parents, including excellent communication and human relations skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of vocal pedagogy for the child voice.

• Lead elementary choir rehearsals one day per week after school.
