Responsibilities

Under the direction of the school principal, plan and deliver appropriate learning experiences for students. Foster an environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students to ensure their success. Supervise students across various school settings. Monitor and assess student progress. Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and the community. Develop, select, and adapt instructional plans and materials to meet diverse student needs. Maintain accurate records and adhere to procedures and practices. Ensure proper use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.

Qualifications
  • Possess at least a bachelor's degree.
  • Meet Virginia Department of Education requirements to hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching License with an endorsement in the relevant area.
  • Experience with computer technology is preferred; willingness to pursue necessary technology training is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Effective communication and interaction skills, including visual, auditory, and tactile abilities.
  • Physical ability to operate office equipment such as computers, calculators, copiers, and projection devices.
  • Capability to perform physical activities like climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting.
