Bradley County Schools seeks a Grade 1 Teacher for an interim, full-time position. You will implement district-approved curriculum, assess student progress, maintain records, and communicate with families to support growth in academic and social skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and pedagogy.
• Ability to assess student progress and tailor instruction.
• Familiarity with district policies and testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student needs.
• Instructs students in responsible citizenship and core subjects per laws and district procedures.
• Maintains records of student progress and attendance per district procedures.
• Communicates with students, parents, and administration regarding progress and goals.
• Coordinates with grade-level staff to evaluate and improve curriculum and participates in meetings.
