Job summary

Gray & Son, Inc is seeking a Gradall Operator in Maryland to safely grade excavate and move materials. The role requires 3–5 years of experience and an active CDL-B license. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

You will perform daily equipment maintenance, attend foreman briefings, and assist with safety practices. Compensation includes a benefits package and a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Grade excavate and move materials safely and productively.
• Complete daily maintenance, walk-around, and checklist.
• Attend morning huddles and toolbox talks with foremen/superintendents.
• Align machines with stakes and guidelines and coordinate actions with crew signals.
• Load and move dirt, rocks, and equipment using trucks, tractors, cranes, and graders.

Gradall Operator Responsibilities:

• Able to grade excavate, move materials in a safe and productive manner.
• Complete daily maintenance, walk around and fill out checklist.
• Willingly attend and support Foremen/Superintendents during morning huddles and toolbox talks.
• Other duties as assigned as assigned by your Foreman or Superintendent.
• Align machines, cutter heads, or depth gauge makers with reference stakes and guidelines or ground, or position equipment following hand signals of other workers. Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
• Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, and materials, using trucks, tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders, and related equipment. Drive and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, and rocks, and to distribute and level earth or terrain.
• Willingly attend and support Foremen/Superintendents during morning huddles and toolbox talks.
• Other duties as assigned as assigned by your Foreman or Superintendent.

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience.
• Active CDL-B
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
