About the Role

The GR Company is seeking a highly motivated Associate Public Policy Manager to join our Washington, D.C. office, with a primary focus on supporting our operations in Korea. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting government relations projects related to Korea while acting as a liaison between US-based clients and our project teams in Seoul. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile government affairs and public policy projects with world-leading corporations, NGOs, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct in-depth client-specific research and analysis on policy issues, delivering high-quality reports.
  2. Develop strategic outreach and engagement plans for clients, mapping realistic pathways to success.
  3. Collaborate with senior management on business development and marketing initiatives in the Washington, D.C. area and beyond.
  4. Build strong client relationships by understanding their needs and effectively handle communication.
  5. Generate innovative ideas and contribute to new business development proposals.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Proficiency in English is essential, both spoken and written, with strong Korean spoken and reading skills required (writing in Korean would be a plus).
  2. 5 years of relevant experience in government, public policy, government relations, or consulting.
  3. Good understanding of Korean politics, the policy-making process, and U.S.-Korea relations.
  4. Strong research, analytical, and writing skills, with an ability to present complex information clearly.
  5. Proactive and creative problem-solving abilities, working well within an international, expert team.
  6. An enthusiastic approach to contributing to policy dialogue and addressing real-world challenges.
  7. A positive, collaborative, and can-do attitude.

  1. We are seeking candidates who are currently residing in and authorized to work in the U.S., as we are unable to provide sponsorship for work visas.

Education & Qualifications

  1. Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field such as political science, public policy, international relations, economics or law.
