Job summary

Vultr seeks an Associate Infrastructure Production Engineer to ensure GPU hardware validation and readiness across our global production environment. You will collaborate with engineering teams to refine testing, close gaps in automation, and build technical solutions that reduce deployment risk and elevate production standards.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to clearly document work performed, including commands executed, observations, and outcomes
• Strong Linux proficiency in production environments
• Ability to design, write, and modify Python and shell scripts to support diagnostics and automation
• Familiarity with Ansible or similar configuration management tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of data center networking concepts including DHCP, IPv6, ICMP
• Ability to collaborate with engineering teams to deliver automation solutions

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated diagnostic and validation frameworks for production GPU hardware.
• Engineer and support Python-based agents, services, APIs, and Ansible automation.
• Analyze workload performance, thermals, and diagnostics to identify issues and improve validation methods.
• Execute and evolve testing and verification processes for onboarding and RMA, enhancing automation.
• Contribute to production stability by building tooling that gates deployment and reduces risk.
• Document system designs, automation logic, and operational guidance; maintain Jira records.
• Identify gaps in testing or automation and design solutions with engineering teams
