Job summary

As a GPU Platform Hardware Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing high-quality GPU hardware platforms that drive innovation in high-performance computing, graphics, and visualization technologies. You will lead the design process from initial feasibility studies through board layout, tapeout, and platform power-on, ensuring robust functionality and compatibility with industry standards. Your expertise in platform-level requirements, electrical engineering applications, and system bring-up will directly contribute to delivering cutting-edge GPU systems that accelerate Intel's leadership in computing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evaluate electronic components, PCBs, and integrated circuits for GPU hardware platforms.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architecture, power, thermal, mechanical, and firmware, to address system development challenges and ensure optimal quality.
• Drive innovation in testing, manufacturing, and debugging processes for GPU systems, adhering to industry standards such as PCIe and OAM.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in hardware design and development with a Bachelor's degree OR 8+ years with a Master's degree OR 6+ years with a Ph.D.
• Proficiency in electronic design automation (EDA) tools and board layout software for PCB design.
• Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, including power integrity, signal integrity, and thermal design.
• Knowledge of industry standards, such as PCIe and OAM, and familiarity with testing and validation methodologies for GPU platforms.

• Strong technical leadership skills with a proven track record of driving complex hardware development projects.
• Experience collaborating across disciplines, including architecture, firmware, and mechanical engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on troubleshooting technical issues in hardware design and bring-up.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US

$220,920.00-311,890.00 USD

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Work Model for this Role
