Job summary

Apple Inc. in Austin, Texas is seeking a GPU software engineer to develop GPU driver software in C and C++ for our next-generation architectures.

You will define APIs, troubleshoot performance, and collaborate with hardware and software teams across the model, design, and deployment phases. The role includes building production-grade automated validation, using Python and SQL within a CI system, and supporting GPU software teams during driver implementation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• Experience with C, C++ and Python for multi-language codebases.
• Developing secure embedded system software for ARM based application processors.
• Experience in HW/SW interaction using C and C++.
• Using Jenkins for CI testing of software.
• Automating execution of software testing workflows on macOS or Linux.
• Debugging with GDB/LLDB/Visual Studio.
• Software versioning and releases using Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop GPU driver software using C and C++ to validate GPU designs.
• Define, author, and troubleshoot APIs for GPU features with focus on architecture, function and performance.
• Develop automated processes using Python and SQL for CI validation of codebase.
• Provide support to GPU hardware teams during model, design and deployment phases.
• Assist GPU software teams during production driver implementation.
