Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is seeking a C-Simulation Engineer to develop software models for exploration, validation, and optimization of GPU architectures before silicon availability.

You will work at the intersection of software and hardware, building C/C++ models, debugging issues, and collaborating with architecture, design, verification, firmware, and software teams to drive performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven OO programming with C/C++.
• Experience in Linux/UNIX environments.
• Familiarity with GPUs, graphics, or hardware architectures.
• Ability to debug complex software and analyze large codebases.
• Exposure to firmware and scripting (Python) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C/C++ simulation models for architecture evaluation.
• Model hardware behavior to support GPU technology validation.
• Debug complex issues and compare simulations to hardware.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, verification, firmware, and software teams.
• Analyze results and iteratively improve product quality and performance.
• Support integration of new features in existing simulation environments.
• Contribute to large-scale software projects using modern VCS practices.
• Participate in technical discussions to solve engineering challenges.
