Job summary

AMD is seeking a C-Simulation Engineer to help shape the future of GPU technology. You will develop software models to explore, validate, and optimize next-generation graphics architectures before silicon is available.

You will collaborate with architecture, design, verification, firmware, and software teams to solve complex challenges and drive innovations in graphics and computing technologies. This role is Hybrid in Orlando, FL.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with object-oriented programming in C/C++.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX environments and debugging tools.
• Strong software development, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with large-scale software codebases and software project workflows.
• Exposure to hardware modeling, simulation, verification, or performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C/C++ simulation models used for architecture evaluation, performance analysis, and hardware verification.
• Model hardware behavior to support design and validation of next-generation GPU technologies.
• Debug complex software issues and investigate discrepancies between simulation and hardware.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, verification, firmware, emulation, validation, and software teams.
• Analyze simulation results and provide feedback to improve product quality, functionality and performance.
• Support development and integration of new features within existing simulation environments.
• Contribute to large-scale software projects using modern development practices and version control.
• Participate in technical discussions and help drive engineering solutions.
