Job summary

Centuri is seeking a GPS Technician to collect data on existing gas infrastructure, ensuring accurate records and collaboration with field locators for effective work plans. The role also involves public liaison to communicate project updates and maintain transparency on behalf of the client.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of GPS data collection experience in the utility industry, with readiness to load/unload equipment and perform maintenance

As a GPS Technician, you will conduct GPS data collection for natural gas infrastructure, ensuring accurate and up-to-date facility records. This role requires collaboration with locators and effective communication with the public regarding project updates.

What You’ll Do

Work Environment
  • Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
  • All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
  • Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
  • Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
  • Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Legal Stuff
  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
