Job summary

AIS Infrastructure Group is seeking a GPS Grade Checker to support heavy civil construction projects across the United States. The role focuses on GPS survey technology, equipment operation, and accurate data collection to support accurate layouts for underground utilities, boundaries, and earthworks.

The ideal candidate has strong GPS surveying knowledge, experience with total station equipment, and familiarity with photogrammetry and LiDAR, while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in GPS surveying.
• Strong knowledge of GPS surveying techniques and principles.
• Familiarity with surveying, photogrammetry, and LiDAR technology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate GPS surveying and mapping activities on construction sites.
• Execute ground surveys using total station equipment and data collection.
• Assist field employees with laying out underground utilities, boundary lines, and other structures.
• Ensure accurate setup and calibration of GPS survey equipment.
• Conduct quality control checks on GPS and drone-collected data.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and surveyors to analyze survey data.
• Maintain and troubleshoot GPS equipment.
• Ensure compliance with GPS and drone operation regulations.
• Contribute to GPS surveying procedures development and improvement.
