Job summary
Wilshire at Lakewood Care Center is hiring Graduate Practical Nurses (GPNs) to join a mission-driven healthcare team. New grads are welcome and shifts are 12 hours, with full-time, part-time and PRN options.
Responsibilities include providing nursing care, administering medications, supporting physicians, and participating in care planning with the team, residents, and families. Flexible scheduling and a commitment to compassionate care are emphasized.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Practical Nursing program and eligibility for Missouri licensure.
- New grads are welcome to join the nursing team.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts across full-time, part-time or PRN roles.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to residents as assigned.
- Administer and record medications and treatments.
- Assist physicians with procedures and treatments.
- Educate and support residents and their families.
- Participate in care planning and evaluation with the healthcare team.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions.
- Document observations and care provided.
- Ensure a safe, comfortable environment.
- May assist with unit management or serve as charge nurse.
