Job summary

MMI Engineered Solutions, Inc. is seeking a GP12 Inspector to join our Quality team in Saline, MI. In this role, you will perform inspections, conduct audits, and support containment activities. You will work in a manufacturing environment and collaborate closely with Production and Engineering teams to ensure the highest levels of product quality. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma and at least 1 year of experience in quality inspection, with preferred knowledge of injection molding processes. A full benefits package is offered.

Job description

We are seeking a GP12 Inspector to join our Quality team. In this role, you will perform inspections, conduct audits, and support containment activities to maintain the highest levels of product quality. Working closely with Production and Engineering teams, you will play a vital role in problem‑solving, documentation, and driving continuous improvement.

Night Shift Schedule

Monday–Wednesday 12:00 am–6:15 am and alternating Thursday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday 6:00 pm–6:15 am.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits (system, process, and product) and communicate results to Supervisors and the Quality Manager.
• Perform product inspections, including receiving inspections and dimensional checks.
• Support Production and Engineering teams during tool trials and daily operations.
• Lead and participate in quality containment actions when required.
• Carry out production floor audits, including gaging, process book checks, and sorting.
• Verify shipping labels to ensure they match production labels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of work experience in a quality inspection role.
• Experience with injection molding processes and/or components (preferred).
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Basic computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment & Expectations

• Manufacturing environment, requiring standing up to 8 hours per day in an environment that may be hot, noisy, and dirty.
• Quarantine or recommend "stop‑ship" of products that do not meet quality standards.
• Stop the manufacturing process for quality or safety concerns and escalat​e immediately.
• Support plant‑wide 5S initiatives and represent the Quality function professionally.
