Oklahoma Tax Commission seeks a Gross Production Reporting Specialist to support the Business Tax Services Division. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist taxpayers with proper formatting and submission of their monthly production return.
  • Review monthly production reports to validate exemptions, price changes, and prior period adjustments.
  • Redirect monthly remittance and credits to the appropriate gross production periods.
  • Assist taxpayers with penalties and interest related to filings.
  • Prepare memos and taxpayer correspondence conveying procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Assist taxpayers, legal representatives, internal and external personnel in a professional manner by email, phone, and in person.
  • Complete assigned work items to meet production and accuracy standards.
  • Resolve complex and non-complex business tax issues.
  • Use resources to find solutions and respond timely.
  • Review financial records; identify deficiencies; advise on compliance with laws and standards.
  • Prepare audit reports; recommend policy or procedure changes.
  • Perform special investigations as assigned.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

This may include independent responsibility for conducting audits of various functions or activities or serving as a member of an audit team in completing more complex audits or special investigations. The Specialist is involved in conducting professional operational reviews, audits, or special investigations to determine compliance with laws and regulations, generally accepted accounting procedures, financial accountability standards or other requirements. Exhibit manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate a computer, keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Ability to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids. Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels, with or without aids. Ability to communicate clearly. Physical ability to lift up to 15 pounds, to bend, stoop, climb stairs, walk and reach. Duties are normally performed in an office environment with a moderate noise level.**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS**Travel is not required.Oklahoma Tax Commission’s normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm.
