Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years within a government contracting environment.
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and accounts payable.
• Strong knowledge of SCA compliance and wage determinations.
• Hands-on experience with government contracting ERP/accounting systems (Unanet/Deltek).
• Working knowledge of FAR, CAS, GAAP, and federal contracting accounting requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with payroll systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• High accuracy and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the month-end close process and deliver timely financial reporting.
• Maintain the general ledger with GAAP, FAR, CAS adherence.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and documentation.
• Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Analyze balances and variances; provide explanations to management.
• Maintain audit-ready financial records and supporting docs.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
