Job summary

Woodward Inc. is seeking a Government Subcontract Specialist I or II to coordinate subcontracting activities for prime contracts and ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR.

The role includes data collection, package development, and effective communication across supplier, contracts, and proposals teams. Level II offers an annual cash bonus, a 401(k) match, and extensive benefits including tuition reimbursement and healthcare coverage from date of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison between Subcontract Management, Category Management, PLC teams, and Contracts Compliance.
  • Develop solicitation packages, review proposals, and prepare analysis files.
  • Create subcontract file structures to meet compliance requirements.
  • Ensure subcontract compliance before approval and assist with closeout.
  • Train and mentor teams on subcontracting processes and compliance.
  • Track metrics and support improvement efforts in projects.
  • Manage RFQs and enter data into ERP systems such as SAP and WISE.

  • Estimated annual base pay: $62,000.00 (minimum) - $80,000.00 (midpoint) - $99,000.00 (maximum)
LEVEL II
  • Estimated annual base pay: $72,000.00 (minimum) - $93,000.00 (midpoint) - $115,000.00 (maximum)
  • All members included in annual cash bonus opportunity.

LEVEL I
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordination and Management: In direct alignment with proposal manager for the prime contract, managing the solicitation activities for all associated subcontract managers.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Capable of identifying inefficiencies within sourcing and subcontracting processes and implementing effective improvements to enhance overall performance.
  • Documentation Management: Maintains accurate and organized records of all subcontracting activities, contracts, and related documentation.
  • Communication Coordination: Acts as a liaison between Subcontract Managers, Proposal Managers, Contracts, and Suppliers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
