Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of experience providing advice and assistance to management in security operations or demonstrated supervisory skills.
• DOE (Q) security clearance or ability to obtain
• DOE Security Police Officer I standards training per 10 CFR 1046
• Certification in Central Alarm Station (CAS) operations or within 90 days of assuming the role
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line supervisor to Operations security employees
• Daily inventory and accountability of equipment
• Conduct On-shift Performance Assessments, tactical exercises, and post audits
• Command and control of security events
• Provide support to Protective Force employees conducting access control duties
• Assist Shift Supervisor, Central Alarm Station personnel, and management as needed
• Work at a government facility with 12-hour shifts, days or nights, including weekends and holidays
• May be required to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and perform regular physical activity
