Job summary

EY's Government and Infrastructure practice in San Antonio seeks an Associate Analyst/Analyst to support risk and compliance engagements for U.S. government clients.

You will document processes, assist with control testing, and help deliver repeatable services under defined procedures and SLAs. You will grow with a delivery-focused career path, collaborate with a national team, and develop expertise in internal controls, risk assessments, and vendor risk management while using EY-approved AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field.
• Associate Analyst: up to 1 year of experience; Analyst: at least 2 years in accounting, audit, internal controls, risk, third‑party risk or compliance.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain public trust or higher clearance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to analyze information and solve problems.
• Flexibility and ability to work with a nationally distributed team.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ability to become proficient with Tableau or Power BI and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Carry out defined engagement tasks following procedures, timelines, and SLAs.
• Document clients' business and financial processes, risks and controls from process owners.
• Prepare and track documentation requests and maintain evidence in engagement repositories.
• Test design and operating effectiveness of controls per test plans and guidance.
• Track deficiencies and CAPs, compile observations and root-cause information.
• Maintain vendor inventories, risk tiering and evidence such as SOC reports and certifications.
• Review vendor responses and evidence; run risk checks and document findings.
• Refresh risk dashboards and conduct resilience and continuity tasks.
• Draft memos and reports using established templates.
• Research regulatory guidance and industry standards.
