Government Procurement & Financial Services Sales Specialist

What you'll do

As a Government Procurement and Finacial Services Sales Specialist you'll be responsible for leading efforts in identifying, pursuing, and securing government procurement opportunities at the federal and state levels. In this role you'll play a dual role as both a strategic business developer and sales executive, focused on promoting our bank's financial and banking services to government agencies.

  • Responsible for identifying and pursuing procurement opportunities with federal and state government agencies for financial and banking services. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, procurement officers, and influencers across government departments.
  • Navigate government procurement portals (e.d., SAM.gov, state procurement sites) to uncover relevant RFPs, RFIs and contract vehicles.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored proposals and responses to government solicitations.
  • Represent the bank at industry events, government expos, and networking functions to enhance visibility and build strategic partnerships.
  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and provide reular updates to leadership on progress and strategy.
  • Stay current on government procurement regulations, trends, and competitor activity.
What you'll need
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced understanding of government contracting processes, compliance requirements, and proposal development.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience in government procurement, preferably in financial services or banking. Experience working at a large bank or financial institution in a similar role is highly desirable. Intermediat to advanced network of contacts within federal and/or state government agencies.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $115,000.00 - $148,596.00 for District of Columbia. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
