This position is located in Tallahassee, FL

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

This position will conduct organizational studies and evaluations on office procedures providing technical assistance and developing procedures to assist the Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection (ORCP) Resilient Florida Program to operate more efficiently and effectively.

Assists in the creation or editing of standard operating procedures for the section.

Serve as Contract Manager in accordance with Chapters 287 and 215, F.S. for assigned program contractual agreements.

Coordinate and assist with the analysis of financial information in payment requests for the Resilient Florida Program.

Prepares, routes, and implements a variety of documents related to the execution of contracts, amendments, renewals, and extensions for the Program’s contracts.

Maintain weekly budget reports for operating and fixed capital outlay funding.

Complete quarterly and annual reconciliation of expenses related to operating expenses and other contracts and grants expenditures.

Assist with the certified forward process during fiscal year end and as directed for fixed capital outlay funding.

Monitor the shared inboxes for the program for items that belong to the Budget & Contract Management section.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to review and monitor policies and procedures for compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze data relating to grant management activities.
  • Ability to compile, review, and reconcile financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to grant and contract management activities.
  • Ability to develop and organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, proposals, and other written documents.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least five years of verifiable related experience. Post-secondary degrees from an accredited college or university may be used as an alternative for the required five years of experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Obtain Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) Certification within one (1) year of hire.
Pay:

$45,060.11 – $48,500.00
